ASSET PROTECTION SPECIALIST (Finance)

Protect company assets through safety initiatives, inventory recovery, and theft reduction programs. Assist with reducing lost inventory, monitor surveillance equipment, and collaborate with the district asset protection (AP) manager to implement AP initiatives. Identify, observe, and apprehend shoplifters and others involved in criminal activities impacting the company. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • One year of retail asset protection experience
  • Experience with multi-store asset protection
  • Wicklander Certification
  • Operational knowledge of CCTV systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct plainclothes surveillance to detect loss
  • Investigate internal and external thefts, report findings, and apprehend suspects
  • Ensure compliance with laws and company policies
  • Perform security checks and recommend loss prevention strategies
  • Partner with law enforcement and prepare case reports
  • Identify and address conditions affecting shrinkage, safety, and profitability
  • Serve as liaison to develop solutions to reduce waste
  • Document all AP activities thoroughly
  • Support AP initiatives at store level and assist with investigations
  • Testify in court and hearings as needed
  • Maintain store security equipment functionality
  • Travel across division stores, working varied schedules including weekends
  • Work effectively in high-paced, stressful environments and manage conflicts professionally
  • Act with integrity and follow directions to resolve issues
  • Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults

Salary Range: $17.00 - $25.55
