Fred Meyer, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Asset Protection professional to prevent and reduce loss across our stores in the Seattle area. You will monitor shrink, deter theft, and report incidents to the asset protection manager while upholding company policies and safety standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with associates, maintaining confidentiality and delivering credible court testimony when required, with flexibility to work various shifts, overtime, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures and organizational structure.
• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
• Retail security and/or law enforcement experience.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Detect and deter theft; report incidents.

Responsibilities

• Prevent and reduce loss due to bad debt, cash over/short and civil liabilities.
• Detect, deter and/or detain external theft suspects.
• Reduce dishonesty by preventing external and internal theft.
• Monitor large shrink areas in stores.
• Report incidents to the asset protection manager.
• Provide training and support to associates.
• Promote company initiatives and customer service.
• Maintain flexibility to work any shift, overtime and weekends.
• Identify areas of high theft and ensure compliance with corporate policies.

Prevent and reduce loss due to bad debt, cash over/short and civil liabilities; reduce shrink and improve margins. Required Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or a combination of relevant education and experience
• Minimum 18 years of age/21 years of age in Alaska
