Job summary

PW Retail Foods LLC operates Piggly Wiggly stores and is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist in Milwaukee to identify and deter losses, train personnel, and coordinate with management and law enforcement. The position requires 2-5 years in retail loss prevention, an associate degree, and the ability to pass internal training.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combined education/experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in retail operations with loss prevention training.
• Ability to pass company-directed training programs and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Apprehend persons involved in theft or destruction of store property by patrolling stores and using surveillance.
• Assist in prosecution of theft, property destruction or inappropriate workplace behavior.
• Communicate with store owners, managers, upper management and law enforcement via statements, forms, emails, phone and in-person.
• Provide training on camera/alarm systems and loss prevention activities.
• Maintain documentation or reports on security incidents or investigations.
• Ensure proper functioning of physical security systems.
• Testify in civil or criminal proceedings when needed.
• Coordinate with risk management or HR on investigations.
• Identify and report security and safety concerns in the shopping environment.
• Recommend methods or systems to reduce risk exposure.
• Install and repair camera systems as needed.
