Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking an Asset Protection Specialist to deter theft, support compliance, and protect people, assets, and store integrity. The role emphasizes shrink reduction, safety, and operational excellence with a focus on accountability across customers, associates, and vendors.

You will help maintain a safe shopping environment, review reports for fraud, conduct surveillance, and coordinate with store leadership and law enforcement as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visible presence to support a safe store environment for customers, associates, and vendors.
• Monitor checkout areas and exception reports to identify fraud and ensure cash handling policy compliance.
• Conduct surveillance to detect theft, safety risks, and operational issues.
• Apprehend individuals committing theft in accordance with policies and laws.
• Respond to EAS alarms and investigate incidents.
• Monitor receiving and storage areas and conduct delivery audits for vendor fraud.
• Perform shrink control inspections and document findings.
• Maintain and operate asset protection equipment (CCTV, EAS, alarms).
• Conduct investigations with thorough documentation and liaise with leadership and law enforcement as needed.
• Train associates on loss prevention, safety, and compliance practices.
