Note: THIS POSITION IS BASED IN ORLANDO, FL WITH OVERSIGHT OF KEY WEST, FL

Job Summary

Responsible for managing the Asset Protection/Safety Program for an assigned Navy Exchange with a sales volume of 22-36.9M.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist management in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating asset protection programs, including safety, physical security, and operational reviews.
  2. Recommend and implement modifications to improve loss prevention, asset protection, and safety efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Manage investigations related to theft, misconduct, accidents, workplace violence, fraud, waste, or abuse, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to policies.
  4. Oversee surveillance activities, covert camera installations, investigations, and interviews with dishonest associates, vendors, and contractors.
  5. Prepare investigation reports according to departmental standards.
  6. Serve as a collateral duty Safety Manager to ensure a safe environment for staff and patrons, administering safety programs in compliance with Navy standards.
  7. Hire, train, develop, mentor, coach, and supervise loss prevention and safety staff, ensuring policy adherence.
  8. Conduct operational reviews and audits across locations, working with management to address deficiencies.
  9. Develop and implement shrink reduction strategies and internal controls.
  10. Manage physical security systems including CCTV, alarms, and key controls.
  11. Participate in inventory processes and report irregularities.
  12. Utilize web-based case management and POS reporting systems effectively.
  13. Engage in professional development and industry training.
  14. Build relationships with internal teams, law enforcement, and legal entities.
  15. Support all loss prevention and safety initiatives as assigned.
  16. Work independently within established policies, with performance evaluated for compliance and overall security effectiveness.
  17. Maintain a secret DOD Security Clearance.
Qualifications

A U.S. Citizenship and a total of 5 years of experience:

  • General Experience: 3 years in administrative, investigative, or loss prevention fields, demonstrating interpersonal skills and mature judgment.
  • Education Substitution: 1 year of relevant academic study can substitute 9 months of experience, up to 4 years for a bachelor's degree.
  • Specialized Experience: 2 years in retail loss prevention with skills in security investigations, internal reviews, and inventory control techniques.
