Smith’s Food & Drug Centers in the United States seeks a diligent Asset Protection Specialist to safeguard assets, reduce shrink, and deter theft across stores. You will conduct surveillance, investigate incidents, and work with store leadership to enforce policies.

You will also prepare reports, support the AP manager, test security equipment, and travel to division locations, including weekends, to ensure effective loss-prevention programs.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Integrity, honesty and professionalism.
• Ability to diffuse confrontational situations.
• Bachelor's Degree (desired).
• 1 year of retail asset protection experience (desired).
• Multi-store asset protection experience (desired).
• Wicklander Certification (desired).
• Operational knowledge of CCTV systems (desired).

Responsabilidades

• Conduct plainclothes surveillance to detect loss within a store environment.
• Conduct internal and external investigations and report findings; apprehend individuals involved.
• Comply with all laws, policies and procedures in carrying out responsibilities.
• Perform physical security checks; recommend loss-prevention improvements.
• Partner with law enforcement and prepare case reports for prosecution.
• Identify conditions affecting shrink, safety and profitability through audits.
• Serve as liaison to identify and develop solutions to reduce waste.
• Complete thorough reports on AP activities.
• Support the district AP manager in executing AP initiatives.
• Test security equipment (EAS, CCTV, etc.) during store visits.
• Travel to division locations and work a varied schedule, including weekends.
• Maintain composure and professionalism in high-paced environments.
