Job summary

This role collaborates across departments to reduce loss and protect assets. Responsibilities include supervising loss-prevention activities, investigating incidents, and implementing corrective actions

Qualifications

• Completion of 2 years of college or equivalent.
• 1 year’s experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment.
• 1 year’s experience in one of: accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection.
• 2 years’ experience in asset protection or related area.
• Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervises hourly associates, hires, trains, mentors, assigns duties and sets expectations.
• Oversees inventory controls, loss prevention policies and procedures; reviews variances and conducts audits.
• Investigates violations of company policies and criminal activities; gathers evidence and may provide testimony.
• Coordinates safety programs, accident prevention training and safety reviews across stores.
• Manages claims/receiving operations and ensures timely processing of damaged or returned merchandise.
• Develops and delivers training, builds relationships with stakeholders and supports continuous improvement.
