Meijer, a family company serving communities, is seeking an Asset Protection Officer for the second shift in Lansing, MI. This role emphasizes OSHA/EPA/FDA regulatory compliance and enforcement of environmental safety standards.

The position includes conducting evacuation drills, overseeing safety programs, and leading training for team members on safety practices and powered equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in Loss Prevention, Security or Military background preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Federal and State policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to flexibility with shift work and scheduling.
• Ability to lead safety classes and training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hazardous emergency evacuation drills including tornado and fire drills.
• Ensure 200% safety for self and others and enforce store safety standards.

Asset Protection Officer - Second Shift 3:00pm- 11:00pm (Full Time)

This position needs experience with OSHA, EPA, FDA regulations, and enforcement of regulatory/environmental compliance.

What You'll be Doing:

• Conduct hazardous emergency evacuation drills including tornado and fire drills.
• Accountable for 200% Safety - Self and Others.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

• Experience in Loss Prevention, Security or Military background is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Working knowledge to meet compliance requirements of Federal and State policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Flexibility in performing assigned shift work.
• Conducts internal/external theft investigations.
• Ability to lead and teach classes related to safety, orientation, evacuation and powered equipment operation.
