Job summary

Kroger is seeking an Asset Protection Manager in Auburn, WA to lead the Asset Protection department and uphold the company’s values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety. The role focuses on reducing shrink, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies across store operations.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED plus one year experience in retail asset protection or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• Minimum 18 years of age/21 in Alaska.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects.
• Familiarity with asset protection terms and processes.
• Ability to make independent judgments with minimal supervision.
• Ability to continue education.
• Pass criminal background check; valid driver’s license.
• Pass all state/federal private security requirements for licensing or certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach direct reports; complete performance reviews and provide feedback.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and maximize sales.
• Investigate and reduce shrink; identify high theft areas and apprehend individuals.
• Monitor large shrink areas and provide credible court testimony when needed.
• Implement corporate merchandising and operating requirements.
• Promote and follow company initiatives and safety guidelines.
• Develop weekly work schedules and adjust as necessary.
• Communicate with corporate to support asset protection initiatives.
• Ensure store areas are inviting and reflect Our People Are Great.
