Job summary

Meijer is seeking an Asset Protection Specialist to safeguard customers, team members, and store assets through proactive measures. You will participate in investigations, document incident history, and assist in prosecuting external theft cases while maintaining safety standards.

The role involves inspecting building exterior and backrooms, reviewing reports, testifying in court when required, and supporting store leadership in addressing hazards.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in security or at least 1 year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect building exterior/parking lot for hazards.
• Conduct backroom and sales floor inspections.
• Review cashier exception reports.
• Conduct internal theft surveillance.
• Review theft activity reports and follow up as necessary.
• Testify in criminal court and/or civil court proceedings.
• Adhere to all safety practices, principles, guidelines and policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
