Job summary

The Vault top-10 firm’s New York office is seeking mid-level to senior M&A, private equity, and investment funds associates. Core responsibilities include structuring and negotiating asset manager M&A transactions, GP stakes sales, and seed/strategic investments.

Strong M&A/PE experience from a top platform is required. Prior asset manager M&A or GP stakes experience is a plus, with a focus on deal intuition and technical grounding.

Qualifications

• Mid-level to senior associates with strong M&A/PE transactional experience.
• Prior asset manager M&A or GP stakes experience is a plus.
• Experience at Am Law 50 or equivalent platform is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Structuring and negotiating asset manager M&A transactions, GP stakes sales, and seed/strategic investments.
• Drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, investment documents, and related transaction agreements.
• Leading due diligence workstreams and coordinating with tax, regulatory, and funds specialists.
• Direct engagement with sponsor and institutional investor clients throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Mentoring junior associates as the practice scales.
