Asset Manager - Institutional Multifamily

Job Summary

This position is responsible for establishing short- and long-term goals to maximize the value of multifamily investments. The role involves coordinating with acquisition, development, construction, and property management teams, communicating strategies with senior management and joint venture partners, and overseeing the implementation of investment goals. Key responsibilities include preparing business plans, determining rehabilitation scopes, developing annual budgets, financial projections, and monitoring property operations and marketing efforts.

Location

This position offers remote work flexibility within the US. Candidates should be near a major airport for travel, which is required occasionally.

Education/Certificates

Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; an MBA or master’s degree is preferred.

Experience

Minimum 5 years in institutional asset management, value-add/redevelopment, or acquisitions; 10+ years in multifamily preferred. Experience in creating value, market knowledge, and team collaboration is essential. Leadership experience with organizational growth and mentorship is required.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Strong analytical and financial skills, market evaluation, project prioritization, proficiency in MS Excel, and excellent communication skills are necessary. The candidate should be autonomous, motivated, organized, and capable of travel as needed.

Additional responsibilities include overseeing portfolio activities, leading asset meetings, developing strategies, managing legal and market issues, and handling budgeting and compliance.

Compensation

Salary range: $150,000 - $200,000 annually, based on experience and skills. Benefits include paid time off, holidays, sick days, volunteering leave, 401(k), flexible spending, and life insurance.
