Job summary

CFS is seeking an Asset Manager in Providence, RI for a newly created role with meaningful influence over a growing real estate portfolio. Hybrid schedule, reporting to senior leadership, with opportunities to shape reporting and processes across Asset Management, Accounting, and Property Management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of real estate asset management experience with strong financial analysis and accounting knowledge.
• Ability to translate financial and operating data into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor property and portfolio performance, identifying risks and opportunities to improve operating results.
• Analyze NOI, occupancy, rent rolls, collections, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
• Partner with third-party Property Management teams to address performance gaps and drive accountability.
• Review monthly financial statements and property reporting with Accounting for accuracy and alignment with operations.
• Lead budget-to-actual variance analysis and support property budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Evaluate performance across affordable housing properties, including LIHTC, HUD, and Section 8 portfolios.
• Present actionable insights to senior leadership and improve reporting, controls, and collaboration across teams.

Asset Manager Key Responsibilities:

Asset Manager Qualifications:

• 5+ years of real estate asset management experience with strong financial analysis and accounting knowledge
• Experience with a real estate owner/operator, asset management firm, or property management organization
• Affordable housing experience strongly preferred, particularly LIHTC, HUD, and Section 8
• Strong understanding of property operations, financial statements, NOI, rent rolls, occupancy, budgeting, and forecasting
• Ability to translate financial and operating data into actionable recommendations
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with property management systems such as RealPage or Yardi
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive results across departments
