Job summary

Virginia Housing seeks an Asset Manager to safeguard the security and optimize performance of its multifamily properties across Virginia. You will provide strong financial and physical oversight, monitor operations, and support a diverse portfolio from our Innsbrook office in Glen Allen, VA.

The ideal candidate brings portfolio management experience, financial analysis strength, and excellent stakeholder communication, with travel up to 75% and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• A few years of portfolio and/or relationship management experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, multifamily real estate, and property management practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Must be able to inspect properties by navigating buildings, stairways, and grounds.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Up to 75% travel is required.

Overview

Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as an Asset Manager. This important role will protect Virginia Housing’s security in properties in the multifamily portfolio through the effective financial and physical oversight of the properties and their operations. It promotes the availability of quality, affordable housing through the effective monitoring of the properties and their management. The successful candidate will support a portfolio of properties within the state of Virginia.

To be successful in this role you must possess

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• A few years of experience in portfolio and/or relationship management
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, multifamily real estate, and property management practices
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Must be able to inspect the properties by navigating the buildings, stairways, and grounds.
• A valid driver’s license
• Up to 75% of travel is required.

The Ideal Candidate Would Also Have Experience In

• Industry certifications such as CAM, CPM, or CHAM-AMS

This position will report to our Innsbrook office in Glen Allen, VA.

Hiring Range: $82,000 - $111,000
