Job summary

JPI seeks a Manager, Investment Ownership in Dallas to lead asset management for a portfolio of multifamily new construction assets, including market rate, workforce, and tax credit properties. You will oversee operating statements, budgets, and investor updates, coordinating with property management and revenue teams.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s in a related field and 3–5 years in multifamily asset management, with strong negotiation and financial analysis skills; experience with AI

Responsibilities

  • Lead primary asset management responsibilities for a designated portfolio of multifamily new construction assets.
  • Oversee monthly operating statements, budgets and business plans for new assets.
  • Manage investor communications, site tours and quarterly updates.
  • Construction owner’s rep support and third party vendor management.
  • Leverage AI tools to draft, summarize, and accelerate daily work while ensuring accuracy.

The position demands independent technical input and decision-making in relation to JPI projects.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesInvestment OwnershipLead primary asset management responsibilities for a designated portfolio of multifamily new construction assts (market rate, workforce, tax credit, build-to-rent).Oversee regularly scheduled meetings and calls with property management team members and with revenue management representatives.Manage monthly operating statements, annual operating budgets, and business plans for new assets.Strong understanding of multifamily valuations, waterfalls, cash management, property financials, and sell/hold analysis.Manage investor communications, including site tours and quarterly updates.Handle PM onboarding and pre-lease-up activities.Construction owner’s rep support.Third party vendor management.Able to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.AI and AutomationUses approved enterprise AI tools (e.g., Claude Cowork, Microsoft Copilot) to draft, summarize, analyze, and accelerate everyday work.Applies sound judgment to review AI-generated outputs for accuracy, tone, and appropriateness before using or sharing them.Follows company data handling, confidentiality, and acceptable-use policies when working with AI tools and sensitive information.Demonstrates curiosity and willingness to adopt new tools; actively participates in AI training, office hours, and adoption campaigns.Uses AI assistants to reduce manual effort on routine tasks (email drafting, meeting notes, document summarization, basic research).Non-Essentials Duties and ResponsibilitiesOther duties as assigned.Education, Work Experience, & Physical RequirementsA Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Urban Planning, Accounting, Real Estate, Engineering, Math or related field required. Graduate degree and/or relevant professional certifications encouraged.Demonstrated experience in working with capital partners, market analytics, asset management, property operations, and strong negotiation skills.Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in multifamily asset management including multifamily development and lease-up experience.
