Job summary

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking an asset management consultant to design and implement lifecycle asset plans for utility clients. The role involves field assessments, building BI tools, and delivering client-ready materials.

You will coordinate with engineering, planning, and science teams to develop strategic solutions. The position supports multiple Denver-area locations with hybrid work options and requires 2–6+ years in related fields; a Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field is required.

Qualifications

  • 2-6+ years of experience in asset management, engineering, utility operations, infrastructure planning, consulting, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and experienced with database management tools such as Excel, Access, and SQL.
  • Basic understanding of water and wastewater utility systems and operations, gained through coursework, internships, co-ops, or professional experience
  • Familiarity with asset management principles, including asset inventories, condition assessments, risk evaluation, lifecycle planning, maintenance strategies, and capital planning concepts.
  • Experience with GIS, CMMS/EAMS, data management platforms, Microsoft Excel, or other analytical tools through academic, internship, or professional experience
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Collaborative team player who is also self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Sound ethics and adherence to Hazen’s safety, quality, and professional standards.

Hazen’s Utility Management Services (UMS) group is seeking a skilled and motivated asset management consultant. This is a Hybrid position and can be based in the following locations: Denver, CO, Greenwood Village, CO, Colorado Springs, CO, Fort Collins, CO. You will join our growing presence in the region, helping build Trusted Advisor relationships and delivering high-caliber work that supports our mission of helping communities protect public health and the environment. The role supports utility clients by analyzing asset data, evaluating infrastructure performance, and assisting with the development of asset management programs, strategies, and technology solutions
