Job summary

Clearway Energy Group in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Manager of Asset Management to lead financial and FP&A activities for a portfolio of utility-scale wind and solar projects totaling over 4,000 MW across 16 states. This hybrid role supports growth initiatives and mentors junior staff.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Asset Management, you will maximize asset value, oversee budgets and forecasts, and coordinate with energy analytics to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing P&L and budgets for large portfolios.
• Strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
• Experience with energy assets and revenue optimization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the P&L and cash position for all generating assets in the portfolio.
• Review monthly operational performance and variances; adjust budgets accordingly.
• Analyze gross margin and coordinate with energy data analytics to maximize value.
• Develop annual budgets and update accruals and financial models.
• Perform financial analyses, project evaluations, and due diligence for plant optimization and revenue recovery.
• Support major projects, divestitures, capital investments, refinances, and revenue‑enhancement proposals.
• Negotiate or amend project company agreements to improve asset performance or mitigate risk.
• Administer project obligations and resolve contractual issues with counterparties.
• Ensure licenses, permits, regulatory reporting, and transactions with authorities and banks are managed.
