Job summary

Addison Group is partnering with a leading cybersecurity and cloud technology company to hire an Asset Management/CMDB Architect for a 3-6 month contract in California. You will assess current CMDB, improve data quality, and build scalable asset management across cloud and on-prem environments.

The role requires hands-on design and implementation of asset inventories, governance, and integration across IT teams, with emphasis on visibility and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Architect-level experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and/or CMDB environments.
• Strong experience with ServiceNow CMDB or comparable enterprise asset management platforms.
• Experience managing or designing asset inventories spanning both cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and data quality expertise.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve the organization's CMDB architecture, processes, integrations, and data quality.
• Build and maintain accurate technology asset inventories.
• Identify inventory gaps, duplicate records, reconciliation issues, and data inconsistencies.
• Improve asset discovery, tracking, governance, and lifecycle management processes.
• Establish visibility across public cloud and on-premises environments.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to improve asset data accuracy.
• Recommend and implement practical solutions to strengthen the overall asset management ecosystem.

Job description

Duration: 3-6 Month Contract (Extension Possible)

Compensation: $100-130/hr

We’re partnering with a leading publicly traded cybersecurity and cloud technology company that is transforming how enterprises secure and manage modern IT environments. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly visible initiative focused on improving enterprise asset management, inventory accuracy, and CMDB maturity across a global technology organization.

The team is looking for an experienced Asset Management / CMDB Architect who can assess the current environment, identify improvement opportunities, and help build a scalable, sustainable asset management strategy across both cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For

• Architect-level experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and/or CMDB environments

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and data quality expertise
• Ability to assess complex environments, identify root causes, and implement scalable solutions
• Excellent stakeholder communication and consulting skills

Nice to Have

• Hands-on ServiceNow Discovery, Asset Discovery, or Service Mapping experience
• Experience with asset reconciliation, normalization, and governance initiatives
• Background within SaaS, cloud, or technology-focused organizations
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud asset inventories
