Job description

Overview

The Analyst/Associate, Asset Management, will support senior asset managers and third-party service providers with loan and REO asset management, including developing processes and procedures to enhance platform effectiveness and portfolio performance as the firm scales.

Base Pay Range

$125,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Perform loan and REO financial analysis, monitoring the firm’s portfolio quarterly and analyzing actual performance versus underwriting and budget.
• Update market statistics, property and investment valuations, and identify asset and investment risks, establishing a system to track loan covenants and early warning indicators.
• Support REO investments, including property projections and scenario analysis.
• Produce and present quarterly and ad‑hoc asset management reports to senior management and third‑party investors, updating QARs, coordinating information flow, and reviewing distribution.
• Coordinate investor responses, finalize reports, and work with servicers and senior asset managers to analyze, process, approve, and facilitate loan draws.
• Assist in REO takeovers, loan modifications, and lender approval processes, including coordination with property managers, bank accounts, and due diligence requests.
• Travel periodically to inspect existing portfolio investment properties.
• Enhance and develop asset management processes and procedures, managing project migration from Word to Excel to database.
• Maintain and monitor the loan database, onboarding new transactions.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of related commercial real estate experience focused on real estate credit asset management.
• Strategic/critical thinker with excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Financial analytic and underwriting skills (DCF analysis, Excel, Argus, and Co‑Star are a plus).
• Strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced entrepreneurial environment and work collaboratively.
• Project management skills, with a strong plus for applying artificial intelligence solutions to processes.

Location

New York (preferred), Atlanta, and Denver (considered).
