Job summary

Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa is seeking an Asset and Inventory Specialist to maintain accurate inventory records for tribal assets at the Red Cliff Administration Office. The role supports purchasing, records management, inventory control, and asset management under supervision.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, clerical/bookkeeping experience, strong computer and Microsoft Office skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years Clerical & bookkeeping experience or a combination of training or experience, preferred.
• Must have considerable working knowledge & experience with computers.
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must exhibit good communication skills, oral and written.
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with a variety of people.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accountability of all Tribal assets.
• Maintain complete and accurate property and inventory records.
• Perform annual inventory of all Tribal property.
• Perform quarterly compliance checks on inventory.
• Assist Property & Procurement with ensuring fixed assets are properly insured.
• Perform technical and administrative duties in support of purchasing, records management, inventory control, and asset management.
• Assist with cell phone requests.
• Work closely with insurance agents for all tribal assets and employee drivers.
• Provide information to Tribal Administration, Finance Manager, and Property and Procurement Officer as required.
• Provide inventory information to programs to improve inventory management.
• Attend staff and other meetings, in-services, and events as directed by supervisor.
• Participate in training activities to enhance knowledge of team skills, systems functionality etc.
