Job summary

Ashland is seeking an Asset Integrity and Reliability Engineer to join our team in Hopewell, VA. This role involves managing the Asset Integrity Management program and providing technical oversight on mechanical integrity. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Chemical Engineering and 5-8 years of experience in the Chemical Manufacturing Industry.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years in the Chemical Manufacturing Industry supporting Fixed Equipment/Asset Integrity and Reliability.
  • API 510, 570, and 653 Certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated responsible and ethical behavior at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the site Asset Integrity Management (AIM) program.
  • Provide technical oversight of mechanical integrity programs.
  • Perform and facilitate reliability engineering activities.
  • Evaluate damage mechanisms and conduct fitness-for-service assessments.
  • Translate integrity and reliability findings into actionable strategies.
  • Develop, maintain, and audit engineering standards.
  • Provide technical oversight for third-party inspectors.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations and Maintenance teams.
  • Contribute to organizational goals by taking initiative.
  • Improve the organization's capabilities through positive communications.
