Job summary

Citizens Bank is seeking a summer intern to join a commercial client coverage deal team. The intern will assist PMs, CAs, and RMs in underwriting, monitoring, and business development activities, gaining hands-on experience in loan processes.

Responsibilities include financial modeling, industry analysis, client presentations, and participation in meetings. U.S. residency is required; pay is $30 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Current students enrolled in an undergraduate program or graduate program graduating 2026–2027.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2; preferred GPA 3.5; include GPA on resume.
• Finance, Accounting or Economics background preferred; all majors considered.
• Strong MS Office proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Support PMs, CAs and RMs in underwriting, monitoring and business development.
• Monitor client reporting: financial statements, covenants and collateral.
• Assist in credit analysis, deal memos, loan closings and annual reviews; build models.
• Prepare industry analyses and summaries; communicate questions and observations.
• Develop client prospect lists and help with client presentations.
• Participate in team meetings, capital markets calls and credit approvals.
• Attend client meetings or conference calls and complete special projects.
