The State of Maryland is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Supervisor of Assessments. This role involves managing assessment activities, providing guidance to staff, and ensuring compliance with Maryland laws. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree and significant appraisal experience. The position is located in Baltimore City, and applicants must be current employees of the department.

Main Purpose of Job
To assist the Supervisor of Assessments with the total work program of the office including residential and commercial assessments and the coordination of clerical and assessor functions to complete the triennial assessment program in a timely and professional manner.
Position Duties
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree and completion of IAAO Courses 101, 102, and 300 or equivalent.
Experience: Six years of professional appraisal experience estimating real property values per USPAP standards.
Notes: Additional appraisal experience or military service in relevant fields may substitute for education or experience.

Limitations on Selection
Must work in Baltimore City Assessments Office and be a current employee of the department.
Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications
Must possess a valid Maryland motor vehicle operator's license. Employees with real estate or insurance licenses must put them in inactive status upon appointment.

Selection Process
Applicants must provide sufficient information to demonstrate qualification. Candidates will be ranked and placed on a list valid for at least one year.

Assessment based on education, training, and experience; complete and accurate application required.
