Assessment Therapist

THE CENTER FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
THERAPEUTIC SERVICES

Location: Remote (with active licensure in Louisiana)

Position type:1099 Contract

Compensation: $100 per assessment completed

Caseload: Minimum of 12 assessments completed per week

Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Assessment Therapist at The Center for Children and Families Therapeutic Services assesses individuals and completes all assessments and intake paperwork under supervision by the Crisis Intervention and Assessment Coordinator in Monroe. This is a contract position.

Required Qualifications

  • M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or equivalent degree preferred; experience with families and children is a plus.
  • Must have obtained LCSW, LMFT, or LPC License.

Skills & Abilities

  • Respect for cultural differences and families' rights to self-determination.
  • Ability to assess situations quickly and cope with limited resources.
  • Willingness to provide in-home concrete services.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain high ethical standards.

Accountability

The Assessment Therapist reports directly to the Intake and Crisis Coordinator in Monroe.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and complete intake paperwork per program, agency, and state standards.
  • Perform assessments via telehealth or face-to-face in various locations.
  • Understand all intake documents and program policies.
  • Engage effectively with clients and families.

Supervision

Attend weekly supervision with the Program Coordinator. Contact families within 24 hours of referral and complete all documentation within 48 hours.

Documentation

  • Maintain accurate case records, including assessments, treatment plans, case notes, and related documents, in accordance with standards.

This is a 1099 contract position, paid at $100 per assessment, with a minimum of 12 assessments per week.
