Assessment Specialist Flex - Hamilton and surrounding counties

CareStar, Inc. is currently seeking an Assessment Specialist Flex in the Clinical Department to conduct program assessments using program and CareStar identified tools and processes and provide recommendations for eligibility per program and CareStar guidelines.

THE POSITION

CareStar is looking for motivated individuals who:

  1. Hold a bachelor’s degree in one of the following specialties from an accredited college or university: Social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, gerontology, nursing, special education, rehabilitation, or a related degree if approved by the FSSA/DDRS/OMPP.
  2. Or hold a bachelor’s degree in any field with a minimum of one year full-time, direct experience working with persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
  3. Have effective oral and written communication skills with attention to detail in assessment and documentation; ability to prioritize multiple tasks; proficient computer skills with the suite of Microsoft Office programs.
  4. Have the ability to work independently within CareStar and program guidelines demonstrating effective interpersonal skills within a diverse work environment, strong problem-solving skills, effective organizational skills, and flexibility in relation to position requirements.
  5. Adhere to the CareStar Rule in the performance of job responsibilities.
  6. Understand and comply with CareStar Policies and Procedures.
  7. Maintain confidentiality as related to patient information. Any disclosures of confidential information made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offense.
  8. Follow the Acceptable Use Policy while using any information systems owned or controlled by CareStar, Inc.

THE LOCATION

This position is open in Hamilton County and is responsible for covering the surrounding counties.
