Job summary

Touro University Nevada is seeking an Assessment Specialist to coordinate institutional effectiveness, assessment, and continuous improvement activities that support academic and administrative initiatives.

The role collaborates with the Office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness and partners with faculty and staff to promote evidence-based improvement across the university. Located in Henderson, NV, the university emphasizes service to the community and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support assessment, institutional effectiveness, and continuous improvement activities for TU Nevada as well as the TU System.
  • Assist academic and administrative programs with collecting and analyzing evidence related to goals and student outcomes.
  • Assist academic and non-academic departments with the design of assessment tools and measures.
  • Prepare assessment reports, including statistical analyses and presentations of findings, using various methods to communicate results.
  • Communicate assessment progress, needs, and changes to all stakeholders as needed.
  • Support accreditation activities by coordinating assessment documentation and evidence.
  • Partner with faculty, administrators, and staff to evaluate assessment results and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain assessment schedules, tracking systems, templates, and supporting documentation.
  • Provide training, consultation, and guidance on assessment methodologies, outcomes assessment, and institutional effectiveness processes.
  • Promote consistent assessment methodologies and practices across TU Nevada and TU System.
  • Create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations as needed.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Overview

The AssessmentSpecialistis responsible forcoordinating institutional effectiveness, assessment, and continuous improvement activities that support academic and administrative initiatives for Touro University Nevada. Reporting to the Associate Director of Institutional Effectiveness & Assessment for the Touro University System, the AssessmentSpecialistserves as the primary assessment resource for Touro University Nevada, supporting academic programs and administrative departments with outcomes assessment,data analysis,and reporting.

Working collaboratively with members of the Office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness, the AssessmentSpecialistalso contributes to Touro University System assessment, accreditation, institutional effectiveness, and cross-campus initiatives whilemaintainingprimary responsibility for supporting the needs of Touro University Nevada. The position partners with campus leadership, academic programs, and administrative departments to promote meaningfulassessmentpractices, evidence-based improvement, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinateand supportassessment, institutional effectiveness, and continuous improvement activities forbothTouro University Nevadaas well as the Touro University System.
  • Assistacademic and administrative programs with collecting and analyzing evidence related to goals and student outcomes.
  • Assistacademic and non-academic departments with the design of assessment tools and measures.
  • Prepares assessment reports, including statistical analyses and presentations of findings, using tabular, graphical, descriptive, and inferential statistical methods to communicate results effectively
  • Communicateassessment progress, needs, and changes to all stakeholders as needed
  • Support regional and specialized accreditation activities by coordinatingassessmentdocumentation andevidence.
  • Partner with faculty, administrators, and staff to evaluate assessment results andidentifyopportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop andmaintainassessment schedules, tracking systems, templates, andsupportingdocumentation.
  • Provide training, consultation, and guidance on assessment methodologies,outcomesassessment, and institutional effectiveness processes.
  • Promote consistent assessment methodologies, documentation standards, accreditation practices, and continuous improvement processes across both Touro University Nevada and the Touro University System.
  • Create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor'sdegreerequired.
  • Master's degree in Higher Education, Education, Assessment, Public Administration, Business, ora relatedfield preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in higher education, assessment, accreditation, institutional effectiveness, academic administration, ora relatedfield.
  • Experience supporting assessment planning, program review, accreditation, or continuous improvement initiatives preferred.
  • Experience coordinating projects,facilitatingmeetings, and working collaboratively across departments.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of higher education assessment, institutional effectiveness, accreditation, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple assessment initiatives whilemaintainingstrong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with faculty, administrators, and staff in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and assessment, survey, or project management systems; experience with higher education information systems is preferred.
  • Proficiencywith data analysis or visualization software preferred.
  • Ability to organize, analyze, and presentassessmentinformation to support institutional improvement.
