Job summary

San Bernardino County's Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk's office seeks an Assessment Services Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Assessment Services Division, including mapping, change of ownership, title changes, exemptions, exclusions, corrections, and public information services. The role supervises subordinate managers and ensures the annual assessment roll is prepared for Assessor approval.

Qualifications

  • Must possess three (3) years of full-time equivalent supervisory or management experience in a California County office coordinating activities associated with the development and maintenance of the assessment roll and must include interpreting and applying California revenue and taxation codes.
  • Ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of relevant State laws and regulations pertaining to assessments for property tax purposes; a comprehensive understanding of assessment practices; and experience developing and maintaining effective working relationships with various divisions, departments, and agencies.

Responsibilities

Job description

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Travel

A valid California Class C Driver License may be required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.

Background

Candidates selected for this position must pass a background investigation and medical examination including drug screening.
