DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Performs a variety of routine and complex administrative duties and geographic information system (GIS) support functions in the day-to-day operations of the Assessor's Office with property records, parcel mapping, ownership, and data valuation. Provides customer service and responds to inquiries from the public, County departments, taxing authorities, and external agencies. Enters, maintains, researches, and analyzes property and GIS data; processes and reviews records and legal documents; and assists with parcel changes, boundary determinations, statutory reporting, and data requests. As proficiency and experience increase, independently performs more complex GIS and assessment functions, resolves complex property and boundary issues, provides technical guidance and training to staff, and supports the development and improvement of departmental processes, procedures, and workflows.

TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT:
Computer and relevant software applications, spreadsheets, calendars, and word processing. Will also work with calculators, telephone systems, and mobile phones.
