Description

Are you ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals on their recovery journey? We are seeking a passionate and empathetic Peer Recovery Support Specialist to join our FACT Team. This community-based role is dedicated to supporting clients in their homes or in a community setting by fostering hope and empowerment through lived experience and specialized training.

Some Key Duties:

  • Perform health promotion activities, including education on wellness, substance use prevention, and self-management plans.
  • Support clients in adhering to prescribed treatments and navigating recovery resources.
  • Facilitate peer support groups such as WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan).
  • Develop crisis plans and psychiatric advanced directives with clients.
  • Monitor client progress and track outcome measures.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Lived experience as a current or former consumer of mental health services.
  • Certification as an ODMHSAS Peer Recovery Support Specialist (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire).
  • Certification as a Wellness Coach (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire).
  • Knowledge of mental health recovery and wellness principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid Oklahoma driver’s license with valid insurance.

This is a community-based role requiring travel and a high degree of autonomy. As an essential worker, you may occasionally work holidays, weekends, or during office closures.
