Job summary

Staffmark is hiring an Assembly Worker in Hillsboro, OH. You will assemble, inspect, and package electronic and mechanical components, reading blueprints and work instructions to ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires standing and performing repetitive assembly tasks, with a 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM schedule. Pay is $16.00 per hour, and there are opportunities for skill development through teamwork and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Technical training in electronics, mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or industrial technology is a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, work instructions, and assembly drawings.
  • Experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic and mechanical assemblies.
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, gauges, measuring devices, and basic testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring, mechanical components, quality inspections, and production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, wire, align, fit, and adjust electronic and mechanical components per specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, routing sheets, photographs, and work instructions.
  • Perform operational testing, inspect assemblies for quality, troubleshoot issues, and repair or adjust as needed.
  • Install switches, motors, sensors, circuits, cables, bearings, bushings, and other components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, gauges, fixtures, hoists, and lift equipment to assemble, inspect, package, and move products.
  • Report quality concerns and maintain testing documentation; package finished products for shipment per safety procedures.

Education Requirements

  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, gauges, measuring devices, and basic testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring, mechanical components, quality inspections, and production processes.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive assembly tasks throughout the workday.
  • Frequently lift and move components, finished products, and materials, using hoists or powered lift equipment when needed.
  • Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail for precision assembly work.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting quality and productivity standards.
Job Duties
  • Assemble, wire, align, fit, and adjust electronic and mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, routing sheets, photographs, and written work instructions.
  • Perform operational testing, inspect assemblies for quality, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and complete necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Install switches, motors, sensors, circuits, cables, bearings, bushings, and other components while ensuring proper fit and function.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, gauges, fixtures, hoists, and powered lift equipment to assemble, inspect, package, and move products.
  • Report quality concerns, maintain accurate testing documentation, and package finished products for shipment while following all safety and quality procedures.
