Magna International Limited, Cosma division, is seeking an Assembly Toolmaker in Piedmont, SC. The role focuses on setting up and operating assembly tooling, maintaining tooling quality, and supporting new tool construction and robot tooling.

You will verify dies, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure QS9000 standards are met. The position requires a 4-year Tool & Die apprenticeship or equivalent, with 7+ years in assembly tooling and related experience; onsite work with competitive pay and

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two years college or technical school or 5 years related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Completion of a 4-year Tool & Die apprenticeship program.
• Minimum 7 years' experience with assembly tooling and 5 years specializing in new assembly tool construction and robot tooling.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of machine tools (Tig/Mig/Arc welders, lathes, milling machines).
• Verify conformance of machines or repaired dies to specifications by checking dimensions, clearances, and alignments.
• Troubleshoot for problems during production.
• Set up appropriate tools in the department.
• Follow safe work practices and QS9000 standards and maintain preventative maintenance.
