Job summary

FEDCO, a global leader in high-pressure pumps and energy recovery devices, is seeking an Assembly Technician for our Monroe, MI facility. You will build FEDCO equipment, use precision gauges, and work with lifting tools in a safety-conscious environment.

The role includes hydrostatic and performance testing, load/unload duties, and maintaining clean, organized work areas. A valid driver's license and 1–3 years of assembly experience are preferred; medical, 401K, and profit sharing accompany the

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-3 years of general assembly or mechanical experience preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assemble FEDCO equipment using prints, manuals, and procedures.
• Utilize micrometers, calipers, and tool sets for measurements.
• Perform hydrostatic and performance testing on FEDCO systems as directed.
• Assist with load/unload, shop maintenance, and cleaning tasks.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides direct support in 3 functional areas, including Hydrostatic testing, Product Assembly, and Performance testing. Level 2 technicians must demonstrate the ability to work independently in all 3 functional areas, and mastery of Assembly or Performance testing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Assembly

• Mechanical assembly of FEDCO equipment utilizing prints, manuals, procedure documents and/or other methods of instruction.
• Frequent use of micrometers, calipers, and other measuring equipment is required.
• Requires use of pneumatic, hydraulic and various hand tools.
• Requires use of cranes and power lifts and working from lift platforms.

Hydrostatic Testing

• Hydrostatic test FEDCO equipment utilizing hydrostatic testing equipment and test procedures.
• Requires use of pneumatic and hydraulic tools.
• Must have keen attention to detail and strong safety awareness.

Performance Testing

• Performance test FEDCO equipment on various test loops, which includes test preparation and testing per instructions and procedures.

Miscellaneous Duties

• Load/unload trucks
• Other duties as assigned.
• Cleans around work areas, assists with general shop maintenance and janitorial duties.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
