Job summary

Edwards Vacuum, located in Buffalo, NY, seeks a Team Leader to supervise shop-floor production and ensure quality and on-time delivery of modules and dry pumps. You will lead and train the team, enforce safety, and collaborate across departments.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, with a 2-year engineering/technical degree preferred, and employees must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required; 2-year degree in Engineering Technology or Business preferred.
• 2+ years manufacturing experience or 4+ years operations experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Knowledge of 6S, MRP, daily planning systems, and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test modules, cables and dry pumps in line with the daily production plan; focus on quality and output targets.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Follows assembly and test instructions to meet output quality requirements.
• Leads the training of team members and drives improvement and efficiency.
• Maintains good working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
• Performs quality checks to ensure assemblies meet standards.
• Sets clear daily targets for the team and ensures understanding of responsibilities.
• Communicates customer needs to ensure on-time delivery.
• Motivates the team with guidance and support.
• Oversees team performance, reviews, improvement plans, and disciplinary actions.
