COLLINS AEROSPACE in Lenexa, KS is seeking an Assembly/Test IV - Team Lead to oversee mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, testing and fabrication onsite. You will read blueprints, operate hand and electrical tools, manage materials, and perform quality checks to ensure defect-free products per engineering specs.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED with about 4 years of related experience; expect long shifts, lifting up to 25 lbs, standing up to 10 hours, and occasional international

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions to ensure accurate assembly.
• Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment efficiently to perform assembly tasks.
• Maintain inventory of product in assigned workstations, ensuring materials are readily available for ongoing operations.
• Perform quality work checks, identify product defects, and accurately record identified defects for corrective action.
• Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products based on engineering specification changes to meet quality standards.
• Adhere to all quality standards and established safety procedures, ensuring compliance and a high standard of work.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, promoting efficiency and safety.
