Job summary

All World Machinery is seeking an Assembly Technician - Workholding to complete the final build and verification of Arrow Workholding fixtures, ensuring fit, function, and documentation accuracy before shipment.

You will rotate between bench assembly and light machining, read prints, and communicate corrections via redlines to Engineering while maintaining safety and quality. Previous experience in precision assembly and fixture work is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2–4 years in precision assembly, fixture build, or machining.
  • Ability to read/interpret drawings and schematics; strong problem-solving.
  • Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble fixtures after inspection sign-off; support dimensional and functional checks as needed
  • Bend tubing for hydraulic/pneumatic components and complete precise fit-up to prints
  • Use a knee mill, surface grinder, and lathe to adjust, rework, and bring parts to tolerance
  • Redline drawings to communicate corrections and model updates to Engineering
  • Conduct functional testing (cycle tests, clamping force, leak checks where applicable)

Role Summary

As an Assembly Technician - Workholding, you will complete the final build and verification of Arrow Workholding fixtures so each unit ships ready to perform. This position exists to ensure fit, function, and documentation accuracy at the last stage of production.

Key responsibilities
  • Assemble fixtures after inspection sign-off; support dimensional and functional checks as needed

A Typical Shift

Your day is hands-on and organized: you review the traveler and prints, confirm the fixture is cleared to proceed, and set up your workspace. You rotate between bench assembly and light manual machining to dial in alignment and smooth operation, then document any drawing discrepancies with clear redlines for Engineering. As builds progress, you move into verification—running cycle checks, confirming clamp action, and completing leak checks when applicable—before preparing the finished fixture for shipment. Throughout the shift, you coordinate with Inspection and your supervisor to keep work moving efficiently and accurately.
