Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. is hiring an Assembly Technician for our new switchgear facility in New Galilee, PA. Training starts at our Warrendale, PA headquarters before transitioning to the New Galilee site.

You will build frames and sub-assemblies for circuit breakers, perform basic electrical connections, and use hand and power tools to meet tight quality standards. This role offers growth, comprehensive benefits, and a clear path within a stable industry leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; plus 2+ years of work experience or equivalent education.
• Basic computer skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build the Future: Assemble frames, bushings, and sub-assemblies for circuit breakers and parts orders according to specs and work orders.
• Get Technical: Perform basic electrical connections based on diagrams and specs, including sealants and secure packaging for shipment.
• Master Your Tools: Use hand and power tools to create high-quality assemblies following drawings and bills of materials.
• Inspect & Perfect: Inspect subassemblies for defects and correct issues to ensure top-notch quality; be a Mitsubishi Ambassador by learning Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies.

Be part of something new. MEPPI is expanding operations with the opening of our state-of-the-art Advanced Switchgear Facility in New Galilee, PA. We're building our founding team and looking for motivated individuals who want to grow their careers with a stable industry leader.

Initial training will take place at MEPPI's headquarters in Warrendale, PA. Upon successful completion of training, you will transition to our new Advanced Switchgear Facility in New Galilee, PA.

What You'll Do

• Build the Future: Assemble frames, bushings, and sub-assemblies for circuit breakers and parts orders according to detailed company specifications and work orders.
• Get Technical: Perform basic electrical connections based on diagrams and specs, ensuring everything is prepped for shipment, including applying sealants and packaging securely.
• Master Your Tools: Use a variety of hand and power tools to create high-quality assemblies, following technical drawings, mechanical blueprints, and bills of materials.
• Inspect & Perfect: Inspect subassemblies and assemblies for defects using specialized equipment and correct any issues to ensure top-notch quality.Be a Mitsubishi Ambassador: Learn and discuss our Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies, ensuring you understand their importance and impact on your work.

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanical Enthusiast: Whether from work experience or hobbies, you’ve got a knack for using tools and enjoy putting things together.
• Education: High school diploma or GED, plus at least two years of work experience or equivalent education.
• Tech-Savvy: Basic computer skills are a plus.
• Safety-Minded: Ready to complete necessary safety training to operate machinery and equipment like forklifts and cranes. Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds, navigating ladders, and working at heights for various tasks.
