Agile Space Industries is seeking an Assembly Technician IV in Durango, Colorado. In this role, you will use your skills and expertise to ensure incoming parts, in-process production, and shipped product meet all quality requirements. The Assembly Technician IV is responsible for inspecting materials, parts, documentation, and products at various stages of production. You will measure parts using standard inspection equipment, record observations, and make recommendations to support continuous improvement. You will inspect for mechanical, electrical, and material nonconformances and ensure all product compliance documentation is complete and accurate. This role applies, revises, and maintains quality standards for receiving, in-process, and final inspection.

  • Fabrication, assembly, and test of rocket engine hardware
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop suitable for high-quality aerospace fabrication
  • Provide ongoing feedback on build and test procedures
  • Document build processes in a computer-based shop floor management system
  • Improve processes and tools to make the job easier
  • Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience in aerospace, defense, or internal combustion engines
  • Strong team orientation with the ability to collaborate effectively across the organization and support the team where needed
  • Ability to troubleshoot faulty mechanical assemblies and perform basic electrical troubleshooting
  • Broad experience across multiple fields preferred
  • Ability to self-direct and recognize issues proactively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities
  • Commitment to attention to detail and delivering conforming products to customers
  • Experience performing finished goods inspection using measurement equipment
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical schematics and drawings
  • Ability to draft and update inspection work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Experience ensuring conformance to quality standards such as ISO 9000, AS9100, or J-STD
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office applications and other work-related software
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and commitments with limited supervision
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Comfort working through change, adopting new techniques, and developing skills to align with evolving business needs
  • Ability to maintain a positive company image and represent Agile professionally in all settings
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) or a willingness to learn

Salary Range

$28.85 - $36.00 an hour. Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity, and is typically made within the midrange, rather than the upper end.
