Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is seeking an Assembly Technician II - MVS (1st Shift) in Greenwood, SC. The role involves assembling, wiring and modifying mid/high voltage assemblies, following engineering drawings and ISO procedures. Regularly using hand and air tools, and supporting lean manufacturing practices.

The position offers a $20.00 hourly rate with a 5 am–3 pm Monday-Thursday shift and eligibility for a variable incentive program; candidates within 50 miles are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Use and knowledge of using hand and air tools.
• Must have a minimum of one (1) year of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position; within 50 miles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and modify work per guidelines for HV assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wire operations as needed.
• Fill out ISO, quality, customer checklists and production lists as required.
• Inspect assemblies for loose hardware and cleanliness.
• Support engineering and supervision with development work.
• Train and coach colleagues to transfer knowledge.

The hours for this shift are 5 am to 3 pm Monday to Thursday.This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:In the Assembly Technician role, you assemble, wire, and modify work based on specified guidelines in the manufacture of medium and high voltage, indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and any sub-assemblies associated with these.Work to manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, written or oral instruction from supervisor or team lead to established procedures.Fill out ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering as required.Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wire operations as needed.Regularly lift and assemble with heavy copper parts.Report shortages to appropriate operators of Kanban inventory.Inspect all assemblies for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness.Respond to change notices, customer requested adjustments, and development needs.Assist engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-initiated development work.Able to effectively train and coach colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.Qualifications:BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.Use and knowledge of using hand and air tools.Must have a minimum of one (1) year of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environmentBasic Computer SkillsNo relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
