Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Assembly Technician II - 1st Shift at 415 Puckett Ferry Road in Greenwood, SC.The core hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm.The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.This position is eligible for a variable incentive plan.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:The Assembler II is responsible for meeting daily production targets with a strong focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory management, and productivity. This role involves assembling Low Voltage Assemblies and performing all related tasks, including those assigned to Assembler I (Flex and Lean), as well as operating assembly machinery. Additional duties include PowerWave2 hi-pot testing, label creation, quality verification, and completing material transactions in AS400.In this role, you will:Obtain or maintain QEW certification to perform electrical testing on assemblies.Assemble, adjust, or repair components using a variety of tools, fixtures, gauges, and equipment; perform layout work and operate tools such as drills, saws, punches, riveters, caulking, and painting equipment as needed.Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings; follow standard operating procedures, method sheets, and both written and verbal instructions from supervisors.Perform visual inspections and quality checks before, during, and after assembly to ensure all products meet specifications; apply identification labels to completed assemblies.Support production flow by retrieving and delivering materials, preparing assemblies for shipment or storage, and completing associated material transactions.Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and WSRA requirements.Provide support across production areas.This is the general nature and level of work being performed and is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, or skills required.
