Job summary

Game Aerospace is seeking an Assembly Technician to perform final aircraft assembly and testing. You will install and test electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, structural, powerplant, and flight systems per engineering instructions using hand tools, measuring devices, and jigs in a safe, efficient manner.

You will read engineering blueprints, follow technical directions, and assemble subassemblies while maintaining world-class quality.

Qualifications

  • A&P certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with typical assembly equipment such as hand tools.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to read and decipher engineering blueprints.
  • Ability to use precision measurement equipment and understand basic shop math.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high drive for world class quality and finish.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that support working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the effort on assembling, installing, and troubleshooting one or more aircraft systems.
  • Read and understand engineering blueprints and technical direction to build subassemblies and systems.
  • Use hand tools to drill, tighten, and connect components.
  • Use measurement and testing equipment to validate operational parameters.
  • Perform testing of components and systems and troubleshoot as necessary to achieve engineered specifications.
  • Utilize FOD prevention techniques on a continual basis.
  • Complete checklists of own work and check other’s work as necessary.
  • Comply with all company policies on safe work practices.

About the Position

The Assembly Technician is responsible for final aircraft assembly and testing. They install and test electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, structural, powerplant, and flight systems per engineering instructions. They use a variety of hand tools, instruments, measuring devices, equipment, and jigs to perform operations safely and efficiently.

What you will do

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Leads the effort on assembling, installing, and troubleshooting one or more aircraft systems.
  • Read and understand engineering blueprints and technical direction to build subassemblies and systems.
  • Use hand tools to drill, tighten, and connect components.
  • Use measurement and testing equipment to validate operational parameters.
  • Perform testing of components and systems and troubleshoot as necessary to achieve engineered specifications.
  • Utilize FOD prevention techniques on a continual basis.
  • Complete checklists of own work and check other’s work as necessary.

  • Frequently work while walking, sitting, standing, climbing, kneeling, bending, crouching, laying, and reaching.
Experience and Qualifications required
  • A&P Certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with typical assembly equipment such as hand tools.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to read and decipher engineering blueprints.
  • Ability to use precision measurement equipment and understand basic shop math.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high drive for world class quality and finish.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that support working in a team environment.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
  • FAA airframe and powerplant (A&P) certification or previous experience working on, modifying, or assembling aircraft.
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge or experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts and practices.
