Job summary

Carrier is seeking a 2nd shift Assembly Technician in the US. You will safely operate power tools to assemble components, follow procedures, and test for quality. The role requires reading blueprints and maintaining clean, efficient workstations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing assembly.
  • 1+ years of reading blueprints, standard work instructions, bills of material.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate power tools to assemble components and test per procedures.
  • Assemble components on time and per quality specs.
  • Identify areas for improvement and communicate changes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstation and assist with housekeeping.
  • Maintain high standards of productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Be willing to learn multiple stations within the department.
  • Overtime and weekend hours may be assigned.

Key Responsibilities As a 2nd shift Assembly Technician
  • Safely operate power tools to ensure precise assembly, prevent defects and minimize risk of injury Performs a variety of functions following prescribed procedures in product assembly and testing.
  • Assemble components as required on time and according to quality specifications.
  • Identify improvement areas and effectively communicate ways to implement change.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of workstation and assist with entire department housekeeping.
  • High personal standards with regards to productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Willingness to learn multiple stations within the department.
  • Overtime and weekend hours may be assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 30 + days of experience working onsite at a Carrier facility
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing assembly
  • 1+ years of experience reading blueprints, standard work instructions, bills of material, and precision measuring instruments

  • Good communication skills relative to supervisor and other related departments
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a great teamwork
  • Solid mechanical background

Pay Range

The hourly rate for this position is between $15.00 - $30.00 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
