Job summary

Carrier, a global leader in climate and energy solutions, is seeking an Assembly Technician I in Charlotte. You will assemble and test products using prescribed procedures, safely operate power tools, and ensure work meets quality standards.

You will keep a clean workstation, support department housekeeping, and have opportunities to learn multiple stations. Overtime and weekend hours may be required; prior Carrier facility experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 30+ days of experience working onsite at a Carrier facility.
• 1+ year of experience in manufacturing assembly.
• 1+ year of experience reading blueprints, standard work instructions, bills of material, and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate power tools to assemble components on time and to quality specifications.
• Identify improvement areas and communicate changes effectively.
• Maintain workstation cleanliness and assist with department housekeeping.
• Willingness to learn multiple stations within the department.

About this role

As an Assembly Technician I, you will assemble and test products by following prescribed procedures, safely using power tools to build components on time and to quality specifications. You will also maintain a clean workstation, help with department housekeeping, and cross-train on multiple stations while contributing ideas to improve productivity, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate power tools to ensure precise assembly, prevent defects and minimize risk of injury
• Performs a variety of functions following prescribed procedures in product assembly and testing.
• Assemble components as required on time and according to quality specifications.
• Identify improvement areas and effectively communicate ways to implement change.
• Maintain the cleanliness of workstation and assist with entire department housekeeping.
• High personal standards with regards to productivity, quality, and safety.
• Willingness to learn multiple stations within the department.
• Overtime and weekend hours may be assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 30 + days of experience working onsite at a Carrier facility
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing assembly
• 1+ years of experience reading blueprints, standard work instructions, bills of material, and precision measuring instruments

Pay Range

The hourly rate for this position is between$15.00 - $30.00per hour.Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
