Ace Hardware is seeking a part-time Delivery Associate to join our team in Myrtle Beach. The role involves assembling grills, mowers, and related items for delivery, and transporting orders to customers with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities include pre-delivery order review, vehicle inspections, safe loading, and ensuring orders reach customers in good condition. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, punctual, and capable of following GPS directions for efficient routes.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to assemble grills, mowers, wheelbarrows and similar items as needed.
• Experience handling customer deliveries and following checkout instructions.

Overview

This is a two-part position. Candidate must be willing/able to do all facets of the job. This is a part‑time position.

Associate will be required to assemble grills, mowers, wheelbarrows, etc. by established deadlines. Also responsible for transporting and safely delivering items to designated locations, ensuring all orders are delivered on time, in the right condition, and to the correct location.

Responsibilities

• Assembly of various items that will be sold in a retail environment.
• Review orders prior to delivery.
• Perform vehicle inspection before departing.
• Load delivery items safely and efficiently.
• Follow any customer specifications regarding delivery.
• Obtain delivery confirmation from customers – close out online deliveries.
• Handle customer questions and concerns.
• Comply with relevant transportation, road regulations, and safety standards.
• Ensure delivery vehicle is maintained in a clean and safe operating condition.
• Provide general installation and assembly upon delivery if needed.

Physical Requirements

1. Able to move, push, load and unload items up to 50 pounds.
2. Able to lift, bend, kneel, crouch, and stretch.
3. Able to climb in and out of van multiple times per day.
4. Able to walk up and down stairs as necessary to deliver items.
5. Deliver items such as grills, smokers, lawn mowers, tractors, sheds, bagged goods, pine needles, paint, and propane tanks.

General Requirements

• Valid and current driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Able to safely operate a delivery vehicle with a trailer.
• Able to understand and navigate via GPS technology.
• Reliable, dependable, and punctual.

Additional Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be willing to submit to a background check.
