Job summary

Wabash is seeking an assembler to perform a variety of assembly tasks on the production floor, including installing subassemblies, rivet punching, decals, and cutting materials. You will work with a range of hand tools and heavy machinery, following blueprints and templates.

No prior experience required; training is provided after an offer. You must pass a pre-employment drug screen and demonstrate basic reading, writing, and verbal skills.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Basic reading, writing, & verbal skills.
• Experience and education are a plus; however, it’s not required. Wabash provides training for all assembler positions.

Responsibilities

• Owning and helping improve our performance in Safety, Quality, and Delivery
• Keeping the work area free of any potential work hazards
• Measuring, cutting and caulking materials
• Installing rivets
• Operating heavy machinery
• Installing truck bed flooring
• Following decal templates & blueprints
• Installing signs, reflectors, fenders, mud flaps, and other associated parts
• Performing additional work assigned by the supervisor or coordinator, which may require the employee to assist in different departments)
• Wearing approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses with side shields, respirators, hearing protection, etc.
• Completing assigned duties in accordance with safety, policies, and practices, including your individual safety, as well as the safety of co-workers, and the safe use of equipment in the workplace
