Job summary

Columbus McKinnon Corporation's Dorner Manufacturing division is hiring an assembly technician to build conveyor products and related components. You will gather materials, follow work orders, perform tests and quality checks, and prepare units for shipping in a fast-paced, 3X built-to-order environment.

The 4-day work week (Monday-Thursday, 2:00pm–12:30am) offers schedule flexibility. We seek detail-oriented team players with 1+ year of assembly experience and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs,

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret production paperwork and work instructions.
• Basic math skills for measurements and counts.
• Mechanical aptitude with safe operation of production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products following work orders and paperwork.
• Gather, verify, and organize parts and materials for production orders.
• Use hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks.
• Apply labels and documentation to orders as required.
• Perform visual inspections and quality checks on products.
• Prepare finished products for shipping or crating and assist with packaging.
• Collaborate with team leads to resolve material, assembly, or order-related issues.
• Maintain a safe, clean 5S workplace and follow safety procedures.

Job Summary/Overview

This position works within the 3X built to order assembly area and is responsible for assembling conveyor products and related components, gathering and verifying materials, performing product testing and quality checks, and preparing completed products for shipping in accordance with work orders and production requirements.

Work Schedule (4-Day Work Week)!

Monday - Thursday

2:00pm - 12:30pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• - Performs assembly and production-related tasks using work orders and production paperwork.
• - Gathers, verifies, and organizes parts and materials required for production orders.
• - Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble products and complete production tasks.
• - Applies and verifies product labels, documentation, and order information as required.
• - Performs visual inspections and quality checks to ensure products meet requirements.
• - Assists with packaging, stacking, wrapping, and preparing completed products for shipping or crating.
• - Works with team leads and other departments as needed to resolve material, assembly, or order-related issues.
• - Works in a safe manner complying with all safety procedures.
• - Maintains a safe and clean environment and performs 5S tasks as required.
• - Other duties as assigned.

• - Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate production equipment.

Required Qualifications

• - Ability to safely lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs.
• - 1+ year of assembly experience preferred.

Compensation

$19+/hour, depending on experience

Additional $2/hour for 2nd shift.
