Primetals Technologies USA is seeking an Assembly Technician 2C for the Sutton, MA area. The role focuses on complex assembly per specifications and engineering drawings. You will study instructions, assemble subassemblies, calibrate with testing instruments and document results.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience, can read schematics/blueprints, and are comfortable with measurements, tooling, lifting and teamwork. This is a first shift on-site position.

Qualifikationen

• A high school diploma or GED.
• 2 to 5 years of experience performing complex and advanced assembly of products.
• Ability to read and comprehend schematic engineering drawings and blueprints and ability to learn and master new assembly skills.
• Math abilities to include knowledge of fractions and decimal equivalents. Basic understanding of metric system measurements and conversion from inches/feet to mm/cm/m.
• Use meters, gauges, hydraulic pumps and other hand and power tools.
• Able to lift 40 pounds and stand on feet for several hours.
• Ability to positively interact with coworkers.

• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Resolves assembly problems by evaluating issues and notifying supervisor to obtain additional direction.
• Implements and identify needs for improvement by conveying it to senior personnel for continuous process improvements and quality product.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing orders for supplies.

Overview:

The Assembly Technician will be responsible for performing complex and advanced assembly of products according to established specifications, instructions and engineering drawings.

Compensation Range

$22.25 - $33.40 hourly. Please note that the final offer may vary within this range based on a candidates experience, skills, and qualifications.
