Job summary

Affinity Personnel Solutions is seeking a skilled assembler for a local company in Orchard Park that specializes in recoil ad shock suppression products. 1st shift hours, pay is $22/hr based on experience.

We value candidates with 3+ years of detailed assembly experience, ability to read detailed drawings, and proficiency with hand and power tools. ISO9001 quality environment experience is preferred, along with a reliable work history and the stamina for repetitive tasks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years detailed assembly experience, preferably mechanical or hydraulic assembly.
• Able to read detailed working drawings and prints.
• Experience using hand and power tools; troubleshooting testing equipment preferred.
• Quality or inspection experience with attention to detail preferred.
• Able to perform repetitive tasks and meet physical requirements (lifting up to 30 lbs).
• Experience in an ISO or quality-managed environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products and subassemblies to the highest level of quality using hand and power tools, following drawings.
• Perform in-process inspection to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Report problems to maintain quality; assist in developing processes for new/existing products.
• Collaborate with team to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Test products or subassemblies for functionality and quality.
• Troubleshoot equipment, devices or products as needed.
• Monitor and adjust production processes for quality and productivity.
• Set up and operate equipment per cGMPs and SOPs.
• Assist engineers in developing/testing new products or procedures.
• Calibrate equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
• Inspect finished products and maintain production logs per ISO9001.
• Observe EHS standards and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have 3+ years of detailed assembly experience - preferably mechanical or hydraulic assembly
• Must be able to read detailed working drawing and prints
• Experience using hand and power tools required. Experience troubleshooting testing equipment preferred but can be trained
• Quality or inspection experience with attention to detail preferred
• Must be ok with performing repetitive tasks and physical requirements of job - lifting up to 30 pounds, standing, bending, pushing, etc.
• Experience withing withing an ISO or quality managed environment preferred
• Must be reliable and have good work history

JOB DUTIES

• Assemble products and subassemblies to the highest level of quality using hand and power tools, while deciphering working drawings.
• Perform in-process inspection of materials and components to assure conformance with specifications.
• Report any problems to operations or management to ensure quality; help develop processes as needed for new and existing products
• Work in a cooperative and communicative manner to meet individual and company objectives and to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Test products or subassemblies for functionality and quality.
• Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices or products.
• Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
• Set-up and operate equipment in accordance with cGMPs and SOPs.
• Assist engineers in developing, building or testing new products, processes or procedures.
• Calibrate and adjust equipment as needed - calipers, micrometers, ring gauges, height gauges, protractors, etc.
• Inspect finished products and keep production logs for records.
• Maintain inventory in stock room and work stations, prepare production documents and recordkeeping according to ISO9001 standards.
• Observe all EHS standards and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
