Major Tool & Machine seeks an Assembly Technician to assemble components per blueprints and router specs in our Indianapolis facility. You will read specifications, apply torque methods, and verify dimensions with precision measuring tools to ensure conforming parts.
Applicants should have a high school diploma, 1 year in manufacturing, and be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds with good manual dexterity. Safe, clean work area and SOP adherence are required.
This role requires individual to have a demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools, torque tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Position Title: Assembly Technician
Position Summary: Position is responsible for the assembly of components as specified by customer work orders, engineering process routers, blueprints and any applicable code or specification.
Reports to: Assembly Team Leader
Personnel: Not applicable.
Accountabilities: Assemblers are responsible for producing conforming components that meet all blueprint dimensions within the said tolerances; any moving parts must operate correctly. Cleanliness and preservation of internal components must be maintained along with the final appearance of the component. All SOP's and WI's must be followed and a safe, clean and organized work area must be maintained.

Educational Experience - A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of one year of trade school, vocational education or apprenticeship is preferred but not required.
Experience - Minimum 1yr experience in a manufacturing environment required.
