You will read diagrams, perform wiring, harnessing, and testing, track work orders in Epicor, support ECOs, and maintain a clean, safe work area while following ESD protocols. This role requires 1–2 years in electromechanical assembly and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and BOMs.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude; use of hand tools and crimping/soldering equipment.
  • Familiarity with ESD handling procedures and cleanroom/controlled environment practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality; able to perform repetitive assembly tasks accurately.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Epicor) for work order tracking and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components per drawings, BOMs, and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs to determine sequence and fastener specs.
  • Perform point-to-point wiring, cable routing, and harnessing to specification; verify connections against diagrams.
  • Conduct basic functional checks and report defects or missing components to Production Manager.
  • Work from Epicor work orders to track progress and record labor and component usage.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to clarify requirements and implement ECOs as directed.
  • Handle sensitive components with care; follow ESD protocols at all times.
  • Assist with kitting, staging, and preparation of components before scheduled builds.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, FOD-free work area and proper storage of tools and sub-assemblies.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and communicating suggestions.

Job description

  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components of process analyzer systems and sub-assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials to determine correct assembly sequence, component placement, and fastener specifications.
  • Perform point-to-point wiring, cable routing, and harnessing of analyzer systems to specification; verify connections against wiring diagrams prior to handoff.
  • Conduct basic functional checks and continuity tests on completed assemblies; identify and report defects, non-conformances, or missing components to the Production Manager.
  • Work from Epicor work orders to track assembly progress, record labor, and document component usage; maintain accurate production records throughout the build process.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to clarify assembly requirements, resolve build issues, and implement engineering change orders (ECOs) as directed.
  • Handle sensitive electronic components and precision instruments with appropriate care; follow ESD (electrostatic discharge) protocols at all times.
  • Assist with kitting, staging, and preparation of components and materials ahead of scheduled production builds.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and FOD (foreign object debris)-free work area; perform routine housekeeping and proper storage of tools, components, and sub-assemblies.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying assembly inefficiencies and communicating suggestions to the Production Manager.

Qualifying Attributes and Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or technical certification in electronics, electromechanical technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment; experience with precision instruments or analytical equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and bills of materials.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude; comfortable working with hand tools, torque wrenches, crimping tools, and soldering equipment.
  • Familiarity with ESD handling procedures and cleanroom or controlled environment assembly practices preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality; able to perform precise, repetitive assembly tasks accurately and consistently.
  • Ability to lift and move components up to 50 lbs; comfortable standing for extended periods in a production environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred) for work order tracking and production documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a production team in a fast-paced environment under scheduled deadlines.
  • Proficient with basic computer applications for reviewing work orders, drawings, and production documentation.
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions precisely and follow through on commitments with team and management.
