Job summary

Snorkel is seeking an Assembly Technician to read blueprints and assemble electrical, hydraulic and mechanical components on multiple product lines. This role requires checking stock, ensuring tool and safety compliance, and working well in a team to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Check stock bins for availability; coordinate with material handler for shortages or incorrect parts.
• Inspect controls and safety devices on equipment; verify tools operate correctly.
• Suggest productivity or design improvements and work well in a team.

ASSEMBLY TECHNICIANJob Summary: Performs routine assembly, with the ability to read and interpret blue prints. Assembles electrical, hydraulic, and/or mechanical components.Essential Functions:• Check blue print and specification sheet to determine required assembly of various electrical components.• Assemble electrical, hydraulic, and/or mechanical components on various product lines using the blue prints.• Checks stock bins for adequate supplies of sub-assemblies, parts and fasteners for the particular run. Contacts material handler if shortage exists or incorrect parts are in bins.• Checks operating controls and safety stops on equipment, checks power and hand tools for correct operation.• Demonstrates ability recommending productivity or design improvements on the line.• Demonstrates ability to work on a team.• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Competency or Position Requirements: Experience working in a manufacturing line, electrical and /or mechanical assembly related field. Experience in using various hand, power and air tools. Understand interference fits and spatial relationships to assembly. Must be able to read and interpret blue prints. Ability to work individually and with a team.Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).Working Conditions and Physical Demands: Job is moderate to heavy work. Frequent lifting up to 55 pounds and carrying materials with an average weight of 35 pounds. Stamina to stand or sit for full shift while performing routine, repetitive tasks.
